Losing weight is a major problem for much of the world's population, and many of those people have this problem simply because they don't have a clue what the rules of fat loss diets are. They operate under the assumption that if they will binge on what they perceive to be healthier foods such as 'fat-free' snacks, it will only be a matter of time before they will become thin and healthy.
Here's the problem with that line of reasoning: advertisers have always feverishly pushed their supposed low fat foods and 'how to lose fat' methods, along with promises of finally 'curing' our weight issues, and yet statistics indicate that this isn't what is happening at all.
In fact, people continue to get fatter every single year, leaving one to wonder what is actually going on here. Obviously a diet of low fat foods simply does not work! You can’t hope to lose weight simply by going on a low fat diet plan. Isn't it time we realize that perhaps these concepts just don’t work?
You also have those who believe that following a low calorie diet is the ticket to a better body, but think again! Unfortunately, a low calorie diet won't bring you the results you desire either. This method of weight loss only adds additional stress to the body and the small amounts of food you consume will cause your metabolism to slow down in order to cope with the reduced food intake.
What this does in the end is to send the message to your fat burning engine to go slower. This will only ruin any chance you had of attaining that slim, beautiful body that you are trying so hard to get.
There is certainly the chance that, for the first few weeks anyway, you will lose some weight, but once you hit a plateau, you'll realize that you have hit your limit. This can be terribly frustrating, especially when you are no where near your desired weight.
Myths about fat loss have always been in circulation, and they always will be, but you really don't have to worry about sorting through the clutter just to lose the weight you want to lose.
